Daily(ish) Ayn Rand Quote
Posted by jemartynowski on March 4, 2009
Since she pretty much called everything that’s happened since she started writing and our financial situation today is way too close to what she said would occur, I’m going to post at least one Ayn Rand quote every day (if possible) until I feel like stopping. Maybe if the federal government looks at what it is doing and reverses course on its socialist policies, I’ll stop. Since that probably won’t ever happen, we’ll just have to see. This first one made me laugh and cry a little inside. It’s going to be tough to top this one:
“One of the methods used by statists to destroy capitalism consists in establishing controls that tie a given industry hand and foot, making it unable to solve its problems, then declaring that freedom has failed and stronger controls are necessary.”
—Ayn Rand, 1975
